Chloe Middleton coronavirus: 21-year-old dies from COVID-19 – ‘It’s not just a virus’ | UK | News

Chloe Middleton is believed to be the youngest victim from coronavirus in the UK to have no underlying medical conditions.

The young woman from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, is believed to have died from COVID-19 on March 21.

Her mother, Diane Middleton, posted a tribute to her daughter on social media.

Writing on Facebook Mrs Middleton, who lives in Buckinghamshire said: “To all the people out there that thinks it’s just a virus please think again speaking from a personal experience this so called virus has taken the life of my 21-year-old daughter.”

Chloe’s aunt, Emily Mistry, confirmed the youngster had “no underlying health conditions”.

She said the family had been “shattered beyond belief” by the death.

News of Chloe’s death comes after multiple people with no pre-existing medical conditions warned of the dangers of contracting coronavirus.

Ryan Van Watershoot, 28, said he was “fit and healthy” before he began experiencing symptoms of the potentially deadly viral disease.

The accounts manager spent 10 days in hospital and said he couldn’t breathe without an oxygen mask.

He appealed to the public to stay at home to prevent the spread of the sickness.

“I felt awful, I felt like my body was completely shutting down,” he said.

“You’re on your own, you just think you’re going to die. It was the scariest moment of my life.”

And earlier this week it was confirmed that mother-of-three Areema Nasreen was fighting for her life after contracting coronavirus.

The 36-year-old nurse at Walsall Manor Hospital in the West Midlands was previously fit and healthy.

A doctor at the hospital said his colleague had “deteriorated within the space of 24 hours and is in ITU [intensive treatment unit]”.
