The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, is not allowed to walk her dog in Kensington Gardens where Princess Diana used to go jogging. Prince Harry told royal biographer Ingrid Seward that Kate is forced to walk her English Cocker Spaniel named Lupo in a private field. Kate, who is well-known for her love of dogs, has also been spotted walking a golden retriever named Tilly and took the pooch to Prince William’s charity polo match. Both pets joined the Cambridges in their first official portrait of Prince George.

Speaking to True Royalty TV, Ms Seward said: “Harry felt Kensigton Palace was a prison.

“He was saying that Kate can’t even walk her dog in Kensington Gardens like Diana used to go jogging.

“She can only walk it around the sort of private field.

“He said it is definitely a prison and he was desperate to get out.”

The revelation comes just a week after Prince William spoke to the BBC’s That Peter Crouch Podcast about life during the lockdown.

He described Kate as having “super patience” especially when it comes to homeschooling.

The Duke of Cambridge said that he became impatient with Prince George, seven, and Princess Charlotte, five, at Anmer Hall.

William said: “My patience is a lot shorter than I thought it was and my wife has super patience.

Ms Bowie added: “The Prince has such a good sense of humour in all of this and he mentions Kate quite a bit in the podcast.”

The Prince went on to reveal that he has to fight for control on his Twitter account as royal aides have tried to stop him from using it.

Ms Bowie and Ms Fiorito discussed his appearance on the podcast and urged royal aides to give him more control to write personal messages on it.

Ms Fiorito said: “He also said that he tries to use the Kensington Palace Twitter account and that he fights them for it.

“They want to keep him away from using it.”
