South Korean lawmaker Kim Ki hyun has accused the South Korean government of spreading fake news about the health of the leader to distract from its own mismanagement of real estate policies and handling of the coronavirus. In South Korea, the country is “nearing its limits” in hospitals in some regions due to an influx of coronavirus patients. The county’s latest outbreak is centred around a Presbyterian church, but it has spread to all 17 provinces of the country.

South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo has said that certain sections of government are using the rumours of Kim Jong-un’s health to distract from the nation’s current second wave crisis.

The paper said: “There have been rampant rumours about Kim’s health condition.

“It is said that the North would hold another congress in January next year, which was never held under the previous government.”

Rumours circulated earlier this year that Kim Jong-un was in a “vegetative state” following a botched heart op.

Last week, it was reported the North Korean leader has handed over some powers to his sister Kim Yo-jong sparking fresh rumours about his health.

What is certain is that North Korea has seen historic levels of torrential rain in the past few weeks.

There are now serious food shortages as nearly 100,000 acres of crops damaged.

The North Korean regime suffers chronic food shortages.

Even the North Korean regime has declared the “severe internal and external situations” within the country.

The regime has admitted there have been “unexpected challenges” for the country.
