Meghan Markle and Prince Harry confess deepest fears while members of Royal Family | Royal | News

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s unofficial biography, Finding Freedom, is set to be released August 11. Royal Rota hosts Lizzie Robinson and Chris Ship discussed the revelations expected after having access to some extracts of the book, which the couple deny involvement in. Ms Robinson claimed Meghan and Harry felt trust was a key issue regarding staff in the palaces while they were working royals.

She claimed the royal couple were fearful anyone they came into contact with in the Royal Family would sell stories for their own gain.

The royal commentators discussed this revelation and reflected on the impact Meghan had on the strained relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William.

Ms Robinson said: “In the book extract there were also details about issues of trust.

“How Meghan Markle and Prince Harry felt there were very few people in the Palaces that wouldn’t leak stories about them.

“How there were references to when Meghan was just on the scene and was described as Harry’s showgirl.

“How someone said there was just something about Meghan they didn’t like.”

Mr Ship also reflected on the difficulties Prince Harry and Prince William have had in their relationship since Harry began dating Meghan.

He said: “William referred to his future sister-in-law as ‘this’ girl.

“Again there is a conversation to be had, William was offering Harry advice to say take it easy and don’t rush into it.

“Harry is known to be quite headstrong, he falls head over heels in love with his sweethearts and they were worried he was rushing into this.

“Is it right that William offered him that advice? Or was it, as the book claims, William being snobbish?”

Ms Robinson admitted that regardless of what intentions William had when speaking to Harry, they had backfired.

She said: “I think however it was supposed to be taken, snobbish was how Harry took it.

“From that point, their relationship suffered, the book says.

“Before that, Harry used to spend a lot of time going to Kensington Palace and seeing the children and they were very close, from that point on the relationship did suffer.”
