Paul Pogba pay cut

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would be unlikely to take a pay cut in order to join Inter Milan.

Manchester United star Pogba played under Conte at Juventus, with the duo helping turn the Serie A giants into Italy’s best side.

And Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport say the Italian would love to reunite with the 2018 World Cup winner at Inter.

But the report claims that it’s unlikely Pogba would take a pay cut in order to move to Inter.

That means that, if the club are to stand any chance of signing the France international, they’d have to fork out £26million a year on wages.

Chiesa is being monitored by several top clubs across Europe, with United and Chelsea also facing competition from Juventus and Inter Milan.

And while Fiorentina chief Joe Barone insisted the club don’t want to see the 22-year-old versatile forward leave the club, they also won’t force him to stay.

“At the moment, unfortunately, everything is blocked, so we can only see and talk when everything is over,” he told Calciomercato when asked about Chiesa’s future.

“Everyone is free to make their own choices. We don’t force anyone to stay, we want players happy to be in Florence, to grow in Florence and to try to achieve important goals with Fiorentina.”

Alex Sandro breakthrough

Chelsea have been given a glimmer of hope of signing Alex Sandro in the summer transfer window with Juventus’ chief football officer Fabio Paratici stating the club will be looking to complete swap deals in the market.

Frank Lampard remains eager to sign a new left-back in the summer with both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri failing to convince him of being Chelsea’s first-choice option.

Alex Telles and Ben Chilwell have been touted as Chelsea’s first-choice targets, but Sandro has also been linked with a move to west London.

And they could use Juventus’ interest in Palmieri as leverage with Paratici admitting the club will be open to potential swap deals.

“It will be a peculiar summer,” he said. “We need ideas, [something like] swap deals and other new things for the next summer transfer market.”

Andre Onana agreement

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard could be a step closer to signing Ajax star Andre Onana in the summer transfer window after the Dutch club confirmed the goalkeeper has “an agreement” to leave the club.

The Blues have been linked with Onana, who’s impressive performances in between the sticks has also attracted the attention of Barcelona, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, it is understood Ajax have placed a £25million price tag on the 24-year-old.

And while Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has reiterated his desire to keep Onana at the club he did suggest there is “an agreement” in place for the player to leave the club this summer.

“Andre is very important to us and of course we don’t want to lose him,” Ten Had told Dutch publication Algemeen Dagblad. “But it’s true that we have an agreement from last year about the development scenario and what steps we will take if the right club comes in at the right price.”
