Why Prince William never ‘accepted’ Prince Harry’s independence | Royal | News

Many royal fans have been left wondering whether the two brothers, who were once inseparable, have spoken during the lockdown. Both William and Harry have been sharing on social media snippets of Zoom chats they have been conducting in self isolation, however so far no interaction has been seen between the pair online.

This has lead to many questioning if the pair have spoken at all since the pandemic struck.

Royal author Leslie Carroll told Express.co.uk: “ This frost between the brothers has gone on for quite some time; so I have my doubts that they have spoken during the lockdown.

“Which is sad; and I don’t know what it would take for the breach to heal.” She added

Previous reports have suggested that William did not approve of Harry moving quite so fast with Meghan as he did.

The Sussex couple had been dating almost two years before they got engaged in 2017.

Ms Carroll revealed: “ William must accept that Meghan is Harry’s wife, the woman he loves and that Harry has never fully recovered emotionally from their mother’s death;

“Each brother has different roles within the family and a different path.

“William’s path, as a future king, has always been mapped out. Harry’s, as the perennial “spare”, has always been murkier.

“But if there has been a thaw in communications, I believe we might have heard about it.

It has previously been claimed that Harry has regularly been communicating with family back home in the UK including brother William and father Charles.

While Charles has found “comfort” in his conversations with Harry, Prince William has reportedly not been so positive about the situation.

A royal source told US Weekly: “Charles found a great deal of comfort in their conversations while he was recuperating from coronavirus,”

Although Prince William and Harry are on speaking terms, their relationship is not in the best place right now.

The source added: “They speak, but it’s awkward.

They remarked that William was upset that Harry is far away during this critical time.

.

“He’s hurt that Harry isn’t in London to support the family amid the coronavirus outbreak.”

Harry is reportedly also feeling “bad” that he is not with his family during this tough time.
