Zara Tindall engagement ring: Royal has £30k diamond ring from Mike with hidden meaning

Zara Tindall has been married to Mike Tindall, 41, since 2011. A style expert explained the ring Zara was given may have a sweet hidden meaning behind it.

She told “Zara’s engagement ring features a stunning split band covered in pave diamonds, with a large brilliant-cut diamond at its centre.

“The shape of the split shank frames the central diamond beautifully.”

Not only was the ring stunning to look at, but the expert also explained Mike may have picked the design for a personal reason.

The athlete may have looked for a jewel that was suitable for Zara’s active career as an equestrian and Olympian.

“As Zara is an Olympic equestrian rider and big sports fan,” Lorna continued, “Mike’s choice was practical as well as beautiful, with a low-sitting diamond.”

The royal will usually wear the jewel ring when she steps out and it is thought to have a huge price tag.

The expert added: “I’d estimate the ring’s value to be around the £30,000 mark.”

Zara and Mike married on July 20, 2011 at the Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh.

Following royal tradition, she borrowed a tiara from the royal collection.

The headpiece once belonged to Zara’s great grandmother, Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark, and was given to the royal by Princess Anne.

The tiara was studded with diamonds and has an estimated cost of up to £4million.

The royal line of succession – who outranks who?

The line of succession to the British throne dictates the order in which each member of the Royal Family would ascend to the throne.

It is also seen as a ranking of importance with the head of the line, the Queen, taking the place of ruler.

Older children come before younger children. Traditionally boys came before girls, but this law was changed on 26 March 2015 before the birth of Prince William’s first child.

Incredibly, Catholics are still excluded from the line of succession, as are children born outside of wedlock.

The royals, who usually stick to a strict protocol when appearing in public, often arrive at events in ascending order of importance, with the most important royal arriving last.

Prince Charles, 71, is currently second-in-line to the British throne, followed by Prince William, 38, his oldest son.

Then comes Prince William’s children, George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, and they are followed by Prince Harry, 35. Prince Harry is succeeded by his son Archie Harrison, born in May 2019.
